Mission

The Bernese Mountain Dog Club of the Finger Lakes Mission is to serve the interests of the Bernese Mountain Dog by:

a) Doing all possible to maintain and bring to perfection the natural qualities of Bernese Mountain dogs as sound and beautiful companions and working dogs

b) Urging members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by the American Kennel Club as the only standard of excellence by which Bernese Mountain dogs will be judged

c) Educating the public as to the joys and responsibilities of owning a purebred dog

d) Protecting and advancing the interests of the breed and encouraging

e) Conducting matches, supported entries, specialty shows and obedience trials under the rules of the American Kennel Club
